The Chumash Auditorium in locationed inside the Cal Poly University Union, which is at the north end of Grand Avenue on the Cal Poly campus.

Directions from northbound US-101: - Drive through most of San Luis Obispo and exit at the Grand Avenue/Cal Poly exit (see map inset). (Note: This is not the same as the 227/Grand Avenue exit in Nipomo. Do not exit there!)
- Turn left onto Grand Avenue and go (uphill) approximately 1/4 mile to the south entrance of the campus.
- Ahead on your right is the Cal Poly Visitor Information Booth. Stop here if you need a permit and/or a map.
- Continue up Grand Avenue until you get to the driveway for the parking structure. Make a left and park in the structure.
- Walk up Grand Avenue until the street ends. The building in front of you to the left is the University Union.
Directions from southbound US-101: - As you approach San Luis Obispo, exit at Monterey Street (the first exit in San Luis Obispo).
- Make a right turn, then an immediate left turn onto the frontage road (see map inset; you will be going the same direction as you were on the Fwy).
- Go approximately 3 blocks to Grand Ave.
- Turn right (going uphill) and go approximately 1/4 mile to the south entrance of the campus.
- Ahead on your right is the Cal Poly Visitor Information Booth. Stop here if you need a permit and/or a map.
- Continue up Grand Avenue until you get to the driveway for the parking structure. Make a left and park in the structure.
- Walk up Grand Avenue until the street ends. The building in front of you to the left is the University Union.
Parking Information: - Cal Poly Parking Enforcement hours are Monday through Thursday from 7am to 10pm, and Fridays from 7am to 5pm. During those times, you must have a permit or pay a parking meter.
- Metered parking is available for $1.50/hr (1.5 hours max). Permits are not valid in metered spaces.
- The following parking permits let you park in any sponsored guest, or staff space after 5pm (except those marked "Staff 7am-10pm") and in any general space any time of day:
- Daily parking permits are available for $5.00/day at the visitor information center and at permit dispensers (see map for dispenser and lot locations)
- Evening quarterly permits are available for $35.00/quarter. This is the best deal if you plan on attending 7 or more evening classes. Evening permits may be purchased at the vistor's center and other campus locations.
