Cal Poly Mustang Ball
The Cal Poly DanceSport Team is pleased to announce our fifth Mustang Ball DanceSport Competition, to be held on Saturday, February 4th, 2012 in the Chumash Auditorium in the University Union on the Cal Poly Campus. Cal Poly is located in San Luis Obispo, which is ideally situated on California's beautiful central coast. Our central location makes this an attractive competition for both Northern and Southern California teams and individuals to attend and compete at a great venue.
Our competition is open to all amateur competitors and will feature Newcomer through Open levels in International Standard and Latin, and American Smooth and Rhythm. We will also have a wide variety of nightclub events, a formation team competition, performances, a team match, and other fun events throughout the day.
There will be two sessions:

Spectators are welcome to attend for just $5 in advance or $8 at the door to watch all day! Front Row Seats are also available for $8 in advance or $12 at the door. See our Spectator's Guide for more information and to purchase tickets.
Updates
- Thanks to a generous donation from Championship Dance Camps, we will be awarding $100 scholarships to the overall 1st through 3rd place couples in each Smooth, Standard, Rhythm, and Latin level (Newcomer through Open level) – $7,200 in total scholarships!
- On Sunday following the competition, we are offering two workshops with David Weise and Borbala Bunnett, as well as private lessons with David, Borbala, and Monika Olejnik. Please see our Workshops page for more details.

Registration & Payment
Online registration is now closed. Registration will be available onsite starting at 10:30am on Saturday. Please do not mail us any payments at this time, as we will not receive them before the competition. Online payment is still available up until the day of the event. If you want to register or add/drop/change any event in your current registration, please e-mail us at info@cpdst.org On-site registration and add/drop will also be available, but advance notice via e-mail is strongly preferred.
Please read our Competition Rules & Information before registering (especially the explanation of the levels.) When registering, to sign up for Nightclub Style events, select Newcomer/Beginner or Intermediate/Advanced as the Skill Level.
